Remote Insurance Verification Representative

BCA Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Remote Insurance Verification Representative with knowledge of insurance codes such as ICD9, CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes.

REMOTE POSITION - Actively Hiring

Responsibilities:

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls regarding patient insurance coverage, documenting all attempts and contacts in the computerized collection system.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits through outbound calls and insurance websites.
• Review assigned claims, working within productivity standards for timely follow-up, updating patient accounts accordingly.
• Communicate insurance disputes clearly to clients.
• Contact managed care, governmental, and commercial insurance carriers to facilitate claim payments.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from consumers, resolving concerns and clarifying issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, focusing on insurance billing and collections.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance environment, including managed care, governmental, and commercial carriers, as well as reimbursement methodologies.
• Understanding of insurance claim codes; this role involves understanding coding requirements and communicating code amendments to clients.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Work from home requirements:

• Quiet, private workspace.
• High-speed internet supporting video/web/audio and VoIP (minimum 20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload); Wi-Fi/hotspots not supported.
• All technical requirements must be met before training begins.
• Residence in FL, GA, MO, NE, NC, SC, TN, TX, or VA.
• Company provides necessary equipment.
