Qualifications

• Experience in billing, insurance or registration (1-3 years).
• Healthcare experience (1-3 years).
• Ability to work the hours specified and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Process eligibility and secure full benefit coverage information with insurance companies and employers.
• Verify insurance coverage for inpatient and outpatient accounts on same/next day add-ons.
• Identify all payment sources for primary and secondary payer coverage and required authorizations.
• Obtain referrals, pre-certifications from physicians and enter into the health information system.
• Calculate and communicate patient estimates for hospital services using a deposit matrix.
• Educate patients on benefits and payment options, and discuss financial responsibility.
