Job summary

Meduit is seeking an Insurance Specialist - Prior Authorization for a remote role in the United States. You will focus on resolving insurance processing errors and denials, utilizing Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payor guidelines to secure accurate and timely payments.

The position offers paid training, a 8am–4:30pm ET schedule, and a base pay of $18–$21 per hour. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in denials management and medical billing, with strong PC skills and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of Denials Management experience.
• 2+ years Medical Billing/Follow-up experience.
• Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payor experience.
• Workers Comp Pre-Access experience.
• Proficiency with PC-based applications (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Tested download speed of 30 Mbps+ and upload speed 10 Mbps+.
• Access to a private workspace for handling PHI.

Responsibilities

• Reduce outstanding accounts receivable by managing claims inventory.
• Speak to patients and insurance companies professionally regarding balances.
• Gather information from patients and third parties to determine benefits and eligibility.
• Input and verify patients' demographic and payor information.
• Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to questions about benefits, billing, and payments.
• Utilize databases and software for revenue cycle tasks like eligibility verifications and pre-authorizations.
• Explain charges and requirements to patients, staff, payors, and agencies.
• Collaborate with Claims and Collections to assist patients with billing and payment activities.
