Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Regulatory Counsel for a growing insurance organization in Florida. This role guides regulatory filings, compliance, governance, and strategic initiatives while collaborating with multiple internal teams.

The attorney should have strong insurance regulatory experience and excellent judgment to navigate evolving state requirements. The position offers autonomy in a fast-paced environment, with salary ranging from $115,000 to $190,000 per year, DOE.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active bar in home state.
• Several years of attorney experience with insurance regulatory law, M&A and corporate transactions, governance, or compliance.
• Familiarity with Florida Insurance Code and NAIC model laws is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and track state insurance regulatory submissions, policy forms, rate filings, licensing applications, and related materials.
• Monitor Florida OIR requirements and regulatory developments as the platform expands.
• Support responses to regulatory inquiries, exams, data calls, and department requests.
• Research insurance statutes and translate developments into practical guidance.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and business teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support corporate governance materials, contracts, and commercial matters.
