Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Healthcare/home care experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of insurance benefits and contracts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must have Medicare/Medicaid experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and care benefit information for referrals, including deductibles and co-pays.
• Notify service offices when benefits are insufficient or plan changes occur.
• Perform eligibility checks thoroughly and promptly.
• Enter plan information for referrals not requiring a benefit confirmation.
• Reconfirm benefits for active clients as required.
• Document benefit and billing information in appropriate systems.
• Post benefit confirmations to service offices.
