The attorney will manage trials, depositions, motions, and discovery while coordinating with claims professionals and experts. Excellent legal writing and communication skills are essential to provide risk assessments and strategic defense.

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Extensive experience in insurance defense litigation, including trials.
• Strong trial advocacy and courtroom presence.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of California civil procedure, insurance law, and case law.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in insurance defense litigation, including trials, hearings, depositions, and motion practice.
• Develop and implement defense strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Handle complex cases involving personal injury, property damage, and other claims under insurance policies.
• Collaborate with claims professionals, insureds, and experts to assess legal strategies and defense.
• Manage all aspects of trial preparation, including discovery, legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions.
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments to internal stakeholders regarding potential litigation and trial exposure.
