Ascendion is partnered with a national insurance defense law firm to recruit an Insurance Defense Attorney with 5+ years of experience for a remote role. The position offers a competitive salary and full benefits.

You will manage a caseload from evaluation to resolution, conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings and briefs, handle discovery, and prepare witnesses for depositions. Colorado bar admission is required. Flexible schedule and PTO included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in insurance defense.
• Experience in medmal, products liability or premises liability is preferred.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and Colorado licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases from evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal and factual research and develop defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses.
