Position Responsibilities

WHAT DOES SOMEONE IN THIS ROLE ACTUALLY DO?

This role involves interacting with hundreds of customers weekly across the country to resolve support issues, sell new products and services, and ensure a top-tier customer experience. You should be a confident, fully engaged team player dedicated to bringing a positive, enthusiastic outlook to work each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound contacts courteously, promptly, and professionally
  • Use knowledge base and training to accurately answer questions and sell appropriate products/services
  • Listen to customers, understand their needs, and resolve issues
  • Research systems for missing information; coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Utilize systems and technology for account management tasks
  • Accurately document and process customer orders
  • Follow all scripts, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information
  • Escalate customer issues to appropriate staff or management
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to stay updated on program changes
  • Adhere to attendance and schedule requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Typing speed of 20+ words per minute
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS
  • Reliable with good attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to troubleshoot and follow up on issues
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Customer service-oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient)
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manage
  • Strong team and customer focus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • 1+ year experience in customer service, tech support, inside sales, or administrative roles in a contact center
  • Experience with state or federal work

Physical Requirements

This role is primarily sedentary, involving sitting/standing for long periods while using a computer and headset. Occasional movement and physical exertion up to 40 pounds may be required.
