Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Remote Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements across our operations. This fully remote role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies to safeguard the company’s integrity and reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles within the financial services or insurance sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African insurance laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FAIS, FICA).
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, adapted for remote delivery.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures for the insurance business.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and assess their impact.
