Navani Health Services is seeking an Insurance Specialist for a remote role, working Monday–Friday with training 8am–5pm PST. Pay varies by experience and location.

The position focuses on addressing unpaid or incorrectly paid claims to secure reimbursement and involves patient communications about insurance processing. The role includes reviewing and rebilling third-party claims, researching denials, and coordinating with insurance payers and credentialing contacts.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two years medical billing course is desired.
• Experience: Patient accounts billing experience is desired.
• Working knowledge of Medinformatix or other patient accounting systems preferred.
• CPT and ICD-10 coding experience preferred.
• Good customer services skills.
• Experience with MS Office, Workday, Internet, and billing systems is highly desired.

Aufgaben

• Review unpaid claims by calling for payment status, appealing denials and correcting and resubmitting claims when necessary.
• Follow up with insurance companies for any unpaid or incorrect paid services provided to patients.
• Help patients understand how insurance companies process their billing claim.
• Help patients with collection questions when Collections Specialist is not available.
• Writes off uncollectible balances with dollar values as high as $500 (dependent on experience).
• Resolves claim edits prior to submission to insurance companies.
• Coordin ates with credentialing liaison on provider enrollment issues.
• Attends monthly meetings to stay up to date with policies and communicate to leadership.
