Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to type 40 WPM with accuracy.
• Proven ability to handle high‑volume workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a structured environment where call monitoring, performance metrics, or productivity scoring are used is helpful.
• Strong verbal communication skills for professional phone interactions with carriers.
• Excellent written communication for clear documentation and correspondence.
• Highly organized, self‑paced, and capable of working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve outstanding insurance claims, including pending, held, denied, or paid incorrectly by carriers.
• Investigate on-hold claims, identify root causes, correct errors, and follow up to release processing.
• Analyze denials, assess validity, and complete resolution steps such as appeals or resubmission.
• Communicate with carriers to obtain claim status, clarify discrepancies, and obtain explanations for pending or denied claims.
• Submit additional documentation requested by carriers to support adjudication and accuracy.
• Draft and submit appeals supported by documentation and payer requirements.
• Process incoming correspondence (mail, emails, EOBs) and refunds as needed.
• Maintain detailed notes in billing systems for follow‑up actions and outcomes.
• Identify trends and escalate concerns to support process improvements.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy expectations in a remote environment.
