Job summary

Plmins is seeking a Business Development Representative in Minnesota to act as the primary contact for accounts and brokers, handling sales, service, and underwriting of property and casualty insurance.

The role involves soliciting new business, servicing existing accounts, conducting loss control inspections, and attending industry meetings, with occasional travel and overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required.
• Background in insurance and marketing is essential, especially obtaining Agents/Brokers Licenses for the territory.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and develop new accounts and brokers; grow core brokers by a year.
• Service existing accounts to maintain the book of business.
• Exercise underwriting and pricing authority for solicited and serviced accounts.
• Inspect client sites as part of loss control services.
• Attend trade association meetings and conventions.
• Review coverages and programs with insureds and brokers to ensure proper values amid inflation.
