Job summary

Encore HCS is seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Insurance Billing Specialist to manage third-party insurance billing for three Delaware communities: Encore Parkside, Encore Wilmington, and Encore at Foulk. You will ensure accurate, timely claim submission and diligent AR follow-up for Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and other plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of healthcare insurance billing experience across multiple payer types.
• Experience with Medicare Part A and Part B, Delaware Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and managed care.
• Ability to independently manage billing and follow-up for multiple facilities and payer types.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Manage full billing cycle for third-party payers across three communities.
• Review census, payer setup, eligibility, rates, and supporting documentation before claims.
• Submit accurate claims within payer timeliness; resolve edits and rejections promptly.
• Investigate unpaid or denied claims and submit corrected claims or appeals.
• Monitor AR aging and provide status updates for unresolved balances.
• Post or reconcile payments, AR, and adjustments per established processes.
• Complete month-end billing tasks and reconcile census, claims, and balances.
• Maintain payer portal access and use billing platforms (PointClickCare, Inovalon, Availity, Novitasphere).
• Collaborate with Business Office Managers and leadership to resolve barriers and communicate risks.
