Alignment Health is seeking a remote UM Coordinator (inpatient) to join the UM team. This part-time weekend role requires availability every Saturday and Sunday and 4 weeks of mandatory weekday training.

You will assist with census, medical records retrieval, and discharge planning while collaborating with CM leadership. Ideal candidates have inpatient concurrent review experience, knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding, and familiarity with Medicare Advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Inpatient concurrent review knowledge and experience required.
• Census and admission management experience preferred.
• Discharge planning experience required.
• Experience entering referrals and prior authorizations.
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage and managed care plans.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Strong medical terminology foundation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Aufgaben

• Assist with daily census by entering face sheets for hospitals and SNFs.
• Obtain medical records from hospitals and SNFs.
• Attach medical records to authorizations.
• Enter referrals and authorizations in the system (ICD-10/CPT).
• Monitor incoming faxes and manage documents.
• Support nurse by completing tasks and prioritizing workloads.
• Maintain facility contact documentation and member records.
• Assist with mailing or faxing correspondence to facilities as needed.
• Attend case management presentations as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive team player.
