Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Facility Coding Quality professional for Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Integrity Operations. This full-time, remote role requires inpatient coding expertise and 5 years of expert-level experience in hospital-based coding and revenue cycle processes.

The candidate will review high-risk topics, support audits, and drive improvements in documentation quality and coding accuracy. Responsibilities include developing coding guidance, coordinating audits, analyzing data

Qualifications

• 5 years of expert-level professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Strong understanding of health information workflows and revenue cycle processes.
• Ability to analyze coding quality trends and develop improvements.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication with clinicians and coding staff.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding requirements for professional and hospital coding.
• Develop and maintain coding guidance, standard work, and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and risks.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Integrity Operations and clinicians to improve documentation.
• Support regulatory and compliance projects aligned with AHIMA standards.
• Respond to inquiries related to coding guidance and audit outcomes.
