Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a seasoned Compliance Educator for the Patient Revenue Management Organization. This fully remote role focuses on reducing risk by educating providers and conducting internal audits related to CMS guidelines and HIPAA compliance across the Duke Health system.

You will identify risk areas, perform reviews, and collaborate with physicians and staff to strengthen documentation, coding, and compliance capabilities while supporting the broader revenue cycle objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; RHIA/RHIT/CCS may be required.
• Four years of administrative experience in compliance, coding and auditing.
• Experience with DRG/APR-DRG and professional coding CPMA/CCS/RHIT/RHIA.
• RHIA or RHIT or CCS required.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers on government regulations with emphasis on CMS guidelines.
• Identify coding and billing risk areas, conduct reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct routine internal audits of provider documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve documentation, coding and compliance.
