SolutionHealth's Elliot Hospital is seeking an Hospital Inpatient Coder to accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes for inpatient services, ensuring compliance with guidelines and payer requirements. The role collaborates with providers and coding leadership to resolve discrepancies and support timely reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and a track record of maintaining high accuracy through audits and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of medical coding experience, Required
• Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s), Required
• Experience/knowledge with healthcare coding and documentation audits and appeals
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently and reliably

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 and DRG codes for hospital inpatient services per guidelines and payer rules.
• Interpret notes and assign codes/modifiers for compliance and reimbursement.
• Ensure coding standards and documentation regulations are met.
• Maintain 95% accuracy through QA and audits.
