Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an inpatient coder to accurately assign diagnostic and procedure codes for inpatient hospital accounts. You will collaborate with clinical documentation and quality teams to validate MSDRGs and related indicators, ensuring timely charging and proper documentation.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of coding conventions and AHIMA/AAPC certifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines and Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Group (MSDRG).
• Ability to coordinate with clinical documentation and quality teams for chart accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate diagnostic and procedure codes for inpatient accounts.
