Job summary

Inviso is partnering with a client to recruit an experienced Backend / Platform Engineer for a remote, direct-hire permanent position. The engineer will design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure, focusing on landing zones, IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.

The role emphasizes treating infrastructure as a product, automating tasks to reduce toil, and maintaining reliability in customer environments, with strong communication for client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure with reliability ownership.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, landing zones, networking, identity, security, and environment management.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience establishing observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and actionable operational signals.
• Experience defining or supporting SLOs, reliability practices, incident response, postmortems, and on-call operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services for reliable delivery.
• Collaborate with client teams to implement IaC, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
• Own incident response, postmortems, and performance optimization.
• Help reduce toil through automation, runbooks, and platform services.
