Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced Infrastructure Engineer for a 100% remote role. You will design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure, develop IaC with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation, and manage CI/CD pipelines across environments.

You will monitor performance, collaborate with DevOps and security teams, and implement observability and automation to improve reliability and security. Remote role with some travel may apply.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoW Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years in platform engineering, DevOps, CloudOps, or IaC.
• Strong experience with Azure.
• Scripting/automation and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Networking, security, and sysadmin best practices.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable platform infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment and operations.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; address issues proactively.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize app performance and deployment.
• Implement observability with logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Ensure security and operational standards across environments.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
