Files.com is hiring a remote Infrastructure Engineer to design cloud-native infrastructure that powers its SaaS platform at scale. You will own architecture, develop proprietary systems, and ensure performance, reliability, and security across high-volume workloads.

The role offers exposure to open source contributions and clear growth paths into technical leadership, platform ownership, or staff-level roles within a flat, high-trust culture.

Qualifications

• Experience designing cloud-native infrastructure.
• Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Chef).
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and reliability practices.

Responsabilités

• Infrastructure Architecture: Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure that powers core product capabilities at scale.
• Systems Development: Build proprietary solutions (sync engines, observability pipelines, DNS management systems).
• Performance & Reliability: Engineer infrastructure for speed, resilience, and maintainability across high-volume workloads.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security controls and compliance automation without slowing development.
• Automation & Tooling: Reduce manual operations by improving automation with Terraform, Chef, and related tools.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations and build systems that reduce incidents long-term.
• Documentation & Standards: Contribute to patterns, runbooks, and best practices.
