Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to support enterprise physical and virtual environments across cloud and on-prem platforms. You will deploy, automate, monitor, and support networks, servers, and applications, acting as a liaison with vendors and development teams to ensure smooth SDLC operations and production support.

You will monitor performance, participate in new technology evaluations, and provide 24x7 support as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a mid-to-large enterprise.
• Experience with server/storage hardware and protocols (NFS, iSCSI) and security concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud storage, networking and hardware technologies.
• CCNA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve infrastructure for high availability.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues.
• Participate in implementing solutions and strategies.
• Collaborate with Storage & Virtualization Engineers to configure servers.
• Handle routine maintenance, firmware updates and upgrades.
• Document problems, resolutions and processes.
• Stay current on industry trends and technologies.
