Job summary

BambooHR is seeking an Information Security Architect to lead hands-on security architecture across our cloud and corporate information systems, partnering with engineering, IT, and security teams to embed security into platforms and decisions.

You will own security architecture standards, conduct reviews, drive threat modeling, and define IAM, data protection, and logging patterns to enable secure, scalable delivery while balancing risk with usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in information security or related field.
• 6–7+ years of hands-on information security experience with cloud security or security engineering.
• Experience leading security architecture decisions for production cloud/corporate environments.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of security architecture across cloud and corporate systems to be secure-by-design and scalable.
• Maintain security architecture standards, reference architectures, and secure patterns across IAM, data protection, logging, and integrations.
• Conduct security architecture reviews for new systems and changes; document decisions and guidance for teams.
• Drive threat modeling and risk assessments; translate findings into remediation plans and architecture improvements.
• Define and validate cloud security controls (IAM, encryption, key management, logging); ensure adoption with engineering.
