STI is seeking an Infection Prevention Specialist to support infection prevention across healthcare settings in the East Tennessee region, with remote work options and a 12+ month assignment.

The role conducts on-site infection control assessments, provides training to healthcare staff and partners, assists with regulatory references and data systems, and supports outbreak responses, applying guidelines from HICPAC, APIC and SHEA to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site infection control assessments of healthcare facilities and provides follow-up consultation on identified gaps.
• Provides infection control training to internal and external stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum.
• Assists with enrollment and data validation for NHSN and interprets relevant health regulations and COPs.
