Job summary

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Mercor seeks experienced Industrial Engineers for a remote contract engagement (4–6 weeks, 20+ hours per week). Compensation is $70–$110 per hour. Start immediately with task-based payment; hourly payment after first task upon approval. You will evaluate AI-generated production plans and provide feedback to improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Operations Engineer, or related industrial engineering role.
• Experience designing, developing, or evaluating integrated production systems including quality control, inventory control, logistics, cost analysis, or production coordination.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated production plans, process designs, and quality analyses for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses based on engineering rigor, process efficiency, and quality-control soundness.
• Review industrial engineering scenarios involving production sequencing, cost analysis, quality standards, and logistics coordination.
• Provide expert feedback to improve AI model performance and training data quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI systems.
