CorVel is seeking a detail-oriented Indemnity Claims Specialist to handle lower-level workers’ compensation claims within delegated authority under supervision. This remote role emphasizes timely claim validation, reserving, and communication with clients.

Requires solid communication, problem-solving, and Excel skills; Bachelor's degree or equivalent and WC license. Strong teamwork and organizational skills expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsabilités

• Receive Workers’ Compensation claims, confirm policy coverage and acknowledgment of the claim.
• Determine validity and compensability of the claim.
• Establish reserves and authorize payments within reserving authority limits.
• Manage non-complex lost-time workers’ compensation claims under close supervision.
• Communicate claim status with the customer, claimant and client.
• Adheres to client and carrier guidelines and participates in claims review as needed.
• Assist other claims professionals with more complex or problematic claims as necessary.
• Additional projects and duties as assigned.
