Job summary

The Triage Specialist supports a federal agency by receiving, reviewing, and directing incident reports to the appropriate point of contact. The role requires 365-day inbox coverage, including weekends and holidays, with a Thursday-Monday or Saturday-Wednesday schedule and fully remote work.

You will collaborate with a small team of federal and contract staff to ensure proper incident documentation, timely escalation, and data accuracy, while producing shift reports and performing basic data

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Experience in case management, child welfare, or social work required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members in a remote environment.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and performing basic data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a shared incident response inbox in collaboration with other team members to ensure timely response and incident elevation.
• Analyze each incoming incident in accordance with federal policies to ensure incidents are documented correctly and routed to the appropriate point of contact.
• Provide technical assistance in situations where incident reports need to be corrected and/or resubmitted in accordance with policy.
• Create shift reports and complete other activities necessary to prepare team members to take over inbox coverage.
• Catalog and file incidents in keeping with policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a tracking system for reported incidents and perform quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends in incident reporting.
• Provide reports on inbox activity on regular and as needed bases.
• Other duties as assigned.
