Job summary

The Standard's Summer Legal Internship Program offers a paid, fully remote internship for 2027, designed to develop and enhance legal skills within an in-house environment.

Interns will work under the supervision of department attorneys across four attorney teams, gaining practical experience in research, memos, contract reviews, and privacy advisement while meeting business partners.

Qualifications

• First or second year law student during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate in a virtual team environment.
• Experience with legal research using LexisNexis.

Responsibilities

• Researching relevant laws and regulations
• Reviewing and summarizing laws, regulations, case law, etc.
• Observing client meetings, negotiations, and/or mediations
• Drafting legal memoranda
• Attending department-wide and team meetings
• Reviewing contracts
• Advising on privacy issues
• Addressing in-house employment matters
