Colonial Group is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant in Nashua, NH. You’ll help ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite or remote examinations, running pre-exam tests, and explaining each step of the process.

This part-time role requires one year of related experience and a HS diploma or GED. You’ll document information in EMR, assist doctors, coordinate with retail staff, and help manage appointments and insurance preauthorization.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and submit information into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and explain preliminary tests.
• For remote appointments, guide patients through remote eye exams and document results.
• Transition patients to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance per SOP.
• Schedule appointments and manage exam books; contact no-shows.
• Maintain patient flow and answer clinical questions.
• Instruct patients on contact lenses and place diagnostic orders.
• Maintain clean clinical environment and equipment; participate in training.
• Work flexible schedules including travel to other locations.
