Job summary

MLR Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced IMS Technical Lead (IpTel - IMS TPM) to drive end-to-end technical delivery of complex IMS projects on a fully remote contract basis, with candidates based in Europe. You will own IMS solution design, deployment, testing, migration, and acceptance, aligning with Nokia IMS elements and coordinating across R&D and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7 to 10+ years of professional telecommunications experience specializing in IP telephony and IMS core network delivery.
• Extensive hands-on experience leading end-to-end technical delivery of IMS projects (fixed and mobile environments).
• Expert-level practical knowledge of Nokia IMS solutions, network elements (NE), and software version dependency mapping.
• Proven track record in project scheduling, technical documentation creation, design delivery, and risk management.
• Strong experience interacting with R&D organizations, product managers, and external customer stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Mandatory legal residency and work eligibility within Europe for fully remote project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of IMS projects, including solution design, deployment, integration, upgrades, testing, and migration.
• Act as the primary technical authority for IMS projects, ensuring successful execution and technical compliance.
• Create IMS domain project delivery schedules and support Project Managers in resource management planning.
• Define required technical resources and align resource demands with organizational frameworks (DDM, TDL).
• Initiate, create, and deliver project technical documents and IMS design documents according to customer and internal procedures.
• Deliver IMS technical project scopes, including network functions deployment, integration, upgrade, and acceptance testing.
• Consult project stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams on all technical questions related to IMS.
• Define IMS software implementation strategies, specific SW versions for IMS Network Elements (NE), and installation sequences.
• Define requirements for new software feature development, interacting with R&D and Product Managers for project completion.
• Manage project technical risks, mitigation plans, and cross-functional coordination with R&D organizations.
