Detailed Job Description

As a Technical Project Manager at MLR Associates on a remote EU basis, you will take full ownership of technical leadership, project setup and planning, cross-functional team coordination, risk analysis and mitigation, and end-to-end execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass producing project status reports (achievements, progress, results, issues, and next steps), managing customer-facing activities, serving as the primary interface to R&D, and performing technical reviews of critical documentation including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Service Validation Strategy (SVS) test strategies, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and Method of Procedures (MOP). You will manage Test and Acceptance coordination across multi-domain and complex integration projects involving HSS/HLR, UDM/AUSF, EIR, IMS, and OSS/BSS platforms. Working in a dynamic international remote consulting environment, you will drive mission-critical telecommunications delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide robust technical project leadership, project setup, comprehensive planning, and end-to-end execution for complex telecom software delivery initiatives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery activities spanning Design, Integration, Validation, and Acceptance phases in close cooperation with MS, NPI, Care, and R&D teams.
  • Perform rigorous risk analysis, mitigation planning, and proactive issue resolution throughout project lifecycles.
  • Produce comprehensive project status reports detailing achievements, progress, results, open issues, and tactical next steps.
  • Lead customer-facing activities, technical presentations, and executive stakeholder engagements across European accounts.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface to R&D teams, bridging product development and customer delivery requirements.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of critical project documentation including HLD, LLD, SVS-Test strategy, ATP, and MOP.
  • Manage end-to-end Test and Acceptance coordination, ensuring rigorous validation against telecom specifications and customer SLAs.
  • Oversee application integration projects across multi-domain environments, supporting IMS, VoLTE, HSS/HLR, UDM, and OSS/BSS systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project management governance, quality assurance standards, and corporate delivery milestones.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Solid professional experience within software telecom solution development, system integration, and enterprise project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and enterprise databases (Aerospike, MariaDB, Oracle, SQL).
  • Deep competency in TCP/IP networking and standard telecom protocols including Diameter, HTTP/2, SIP, SOAP-XML, and SNMP.
  • Practical cloud knowledge and hands-on familiarity with Virtual Network Functions (VNF), Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNF), and platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, CBIS, CBAM, NCS, and NCOM.
  • Basic domain knowledge of core telecommunications architecture elements including HSS, HLR, SDL, AUSF/UDM, EIR, One-MNP, and One-NDS.
  • Proven experience managing complex multi-domain application integration projects, Payment systems, Mobile Network Integration, VoLTE, IMS, and OSS/BSS frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership, risk management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
  • Professional availability for full-time remote employment (Must be based in the EU).
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Professional project management certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
