Lumexa Imaging is a leading provider of outpatient medical imaging with numerous centers. The Patient Access Representative I will primarily schedule ultrasound and X-ray appointments while collecting accurate demographics, insurance, and billing details.

Located in Atlanta, GA with remote work eligibility based on performance. This role emphasizes patient experience, effective communication, and coordination with physicians and imaging centers to ensure timely, accurate scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3+ years health care scheduling across multiple locations preferred.
• Call center or phone experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized scheduling systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules ultrasound and X-ray appointments; enters dates and times into the scheduling system.
• Ensures accuracy of patient data in the EMR.
• Schedules and confirms imaging appointments; enters imaging orders as needed.
• Acts as liaison with center operations and centralized services departments.
• Handles inbound and outbound calls professionally and courteously.
• Explains exams, prep instructions, and directions to patients and provider staff.
• Maintains positive patient experience and responds to service issues promptly.
