Job summary

Christopher Newport University is seeking a skilled IT specialist to provide frontline and escalated support for university identity and cloud systems. You will manage user accounts, groups, and permissions, and ensure secure access to Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.

Ideal candidates will have experience with ticketing systems, strong customer service, and the ability to document procedures.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar customer-facing technical role
• Experience administering user accounts, groups, or permissions in a directory service or cloud identity platform
• Experience using a ticketing system to track and resolve support requests
• Experience working in teams or group settings

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive technical support to the university community while maintaining security of identity and cloud systems.
• Resolve escalated tickets and manage identity and access management workflows.
• Document procedures and write knowledge base articles to aid future support.
