Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Manager, Identity Administration and Engineering to lead the IAM engineering and operations across campus. You will oversee architecture, integration, and service reliability of IAM platforms, and work with DevOps to optimize deployments.

This exempt, full-time role requires senior technical leadership, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and a focus on security, compliance, and enterprise policy.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing technical staff and IAM engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of IAM systems, CalNet, and security technologies.
• Ability to communicate with executive management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leads the analysis, architecture, engineering, implementation, and administration of campus enterprise IAM infrastructure.
• Directs IAM solutions, configurations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Develops automation and scripting to support IAM operations.
• Supervises IAM Systems Administration and Engineering staff.
• Provides hands-on technical support for day-to-day operations.
• Partners with campus stakeholders to align IAM with objectives.
