Job summary

Reddit is seeking an experienced IAM backend engineer to design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for millions of daily users. You will work within a collaborative IAM team and partner with product, security, and backend teams to deliver reliable systems.

The role emphasizes designing robust distributed backend services, leveraging Go, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems.
• IAM backend experience in either authorization or authentication domain
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages (Go preferred)
• Experience with essential cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, GCP)
• High empathy and excellent communication skills to collaborate across the organization.
