Job summary

New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking a warm and empathetic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team. We offer full-time remote/hybrid or part-time 20-25 hours with one weekend day requirement, competitive compensation, and generous benefits.

Under supervision of a psychiatrist, you will conduct evaluations, manage medications, and coordinate care across NYPCC's telehealth and in-person services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management of clients.
• Prescribe or recommend medication or other forms of treatment or related therapeutic procedures.
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess clients' clinical problems and health care needs.
• Order laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures.
• Refer clients to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals, families, and staff members to ensure ongoing quality delivery of health services.
• May be asked to cover other sites if necessary.
