Job summary

Neuropsychiatric Clinic of Atlantis in Villa Rica, GA is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient practice. The role offers in-person, telehealth, or hybrid care with a flexible schedule and independent contractor arrangement.

Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication-management follow-ups, and developing individualized treatment plans within Georgia licensure.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Georgia APRN license.
• PMHNP certification.
• Appropriate prescribing credentials/authority.
• Strong psychiatric assessment and medication-management skills.
• Excellent clinical documentation and communication; ability to maintain reliable availability.
• Ability to utilize electronic health records and telehealth technology.
• Current DEA registration or the ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide medication-management follow-up visits.
• Assess symptoms, diagnoses, medications, and treatment response.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate and permitted by law.
• Complete timely and accurate progress notes and clinical documentation.
• Maintain appropriate medical and psychiatric records.
• Coordinate with the Clinical Director and practice team regarding patient care.
• Support continuity of care and a positive patient experience.
• Follow applicable federal and Georgia laws, HIPAA requirements, payer requirements, and practice policies.
• Participate in applicable insurance credentialing.
