Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical Group LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Controls Installer to join our growing team. You will install HVAC control systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with electricians and other trades on job sites.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in HVAC controls or BAS/BMS, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver’s license. This position offers opportunities for growth, safety-focused practices, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in HVAC controls, electrical installation, BAS/BMS systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC control systems, including control panels, sensors, thermostats, actuators, and associated low-voltage wiring.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, and control schematics.
Mount and terminate control devices and field equipment in accordance with project drawings and company standards.
Assist with startup and checkout of building automation systems.
Troubleshoot installation issues and communicate findings to project teams.
Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with electricians, mechanical contractors, and other trades on job sites.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and project progress.
Support commissioning activities and system testing as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on all job sites.
