Job summary

Sparklight is seeking an HSD Systems Engineer I to deploy and maintain high-speed data infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, and DOCSIS provisioning. You will automate tasks with Python/Ansible and work with CentOS/RHEL in a secure, scalable environment.

The role offers remote work options for qualified candidates in the United States and requires a bachelor’s degree with at least two years in network engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years in network engineering.
• MSO/cable industry experience is preferred.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, and maintain HSD infrastructure.
• Design, develop, test and implement new technologies.
• Configure DNS, DHCP, and DOCSIS provisioning.
• Automate tasks with Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Support on-call duties and incident response.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
