Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a remote Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end production infrastructure, spanning development, deployment, networking, cloud, identity, and production operations. You will automate and document critical processes to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, coordinate deployments, and support data services across SQL Server and PostgreSQL, applying Python/PowerShell for automation.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of professional experience in infrastructure or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on deployment and database ownership experience required.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, networking, and relational databases.
• Git and at least one CI/CD platform experience is essential.
• PowerShell or Python scripting ability is required.
• REST API integration experience and strong troubleshooting.
• Security-first mindset and excellent written English communication.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies independently.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure across development, deployment, networking, cloud, identity, and production operations.
• Refactor and organize development environments and automate deployments.
• Build, maintain, and verify CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Plan production deployments and coordinate infrastructure changes.
• Administer Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage, backups, and restore checks.
• Configure networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and certificates; manage reverse proxies.
• Support Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint identity management.
• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL for deployments, schema changes, and ETL workloads.
• Extend automation tools with Python/PowerShell; produce runbooks and docs.
• Evaluate AI-assisted code and deployment changes before release.
