Job summary

Horizon Bradco in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Hotside Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial gas and electric cooking equipment at customer sites, including ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, broilers, and steamers.

You will troubleshoot ignition systems and electrical controls, read wiring diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate clearly with customers and the service team while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial gas and electric cooking equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Willingness to travel between locations.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, broilers, steamers, and other foodservice equipment.
• Diagnose gas ignition, burners, valves, regulators, thermocouples, and flame-sensing components.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including circuits, heating elements, motors, contactors, relays, thermostats, and controls.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and verify operation after repairs.
• Follow safety requirements including lockout/tagout and safe gas handling practices.
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to customers and the service team.
• Complete service documentation including parts used and follow-up needs.
• Maintain tools, service vehicle, and inventory.
