Job summary

Horizon Bradco is seeking an experienced Hotside Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking equipment at customer locations in Fort Lauderdale. You will handle gas ignition, electrical troubleshooting, and safe operation while traveling between sites.

Required are hands-on gas-fired and electric appliance skills, strong electrical knowledge, and a commitment to safe, dependable service with excellent communication to customers and the service team.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial gas and electric cooking equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; proficient with a multimeter.
• Knowledge of commercial gas systems, combustion, and ignition controls.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs independently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between customer locations.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of field service work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking equipment at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot gas ignition, burners, valves, regulators, thermocouples, and flame-sensing components.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including single- and three-phase circuits, heating elements, motors, contactors, relays, and thermostats.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and verify proper equipment operation after repairs.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and safe gas-handling practices.
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to customers and the service team.
• Complete accurate service documentation, including work performed and parts used.
