Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Hospitalist Physician on a contract basis for remote work, committing 10–40 hours per week. You will review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, to support AI training and assess documentation quality.

Ideal candidates hold MD or DO board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine, with strong inpatient experience and meticulous attention to detail, plus familiarity with chart review or medical coding a plus.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
• Strong experience in inpatient/hospitalist settings.
• Strong understanding of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow clear guidelines.
• Experience with chart review or medical coding/QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes for AI Training.
• Check whether clinical information and claims are supported by the medical record.
• Review inpatient documentation, including HPI, PMH, assessments, and plans.
• Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information in medical records.
• Share feedback to help improve AI models and data quality.
• Communicate clearly with the project team about your work and findings.
