Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist/Senior Provider Contracting Professional to initiate, negotiate, and execute contracts for physicians, hospitals and other providers.

You will report to the Director, Provider Contracting and lead complex hospital agreements. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hospital negotiation, experience with Medicare, managed care contracts, and strong financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• Leading negotiations for hospital and system agreements including terms and renewals.
• 5+ years network management experience including hospital contracting and network administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements, including reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and value based agreements.
• Extensive managed care experience with hospital contracting, reimbursement methodologies, financial analysis, complex negotiations, provider relationship management, and leadership.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and value based-contracting.
• Evaluate reimbursement methodologies and payment structures; communicate terms to providers.
• Maintain contracts and documentation in tracking systems; assist in provider recruitment.
