Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Hospital Coding Specialist to ensure accurate medical records for optimal reimbursement while remaining compliant with standards. You will review complex cases, assign precise codes, and maintain high productivity. A remote role includes hardware support for home work.

Candidates should have inpatient coding experience or HIM degrees with CCS/RHIA/RHIT/CIC credentials and a strong understanding of CPT/ICD coding and regulatory guidelines.

Qualificações

• 1 year inpatient coding experience or equivalent education with coding certification
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in HIM with CCS/RHIA/CIC or RHIT/CIC
• Strong CPT and ICD coding proficiency and regulatory compliance knowledge

Responsabilidades

• Review complex inpatient and outpatient medical documentation to assign precise diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Maintain high productivity and accuracy; compose provider queries and troubleshoot documentation trends to resolve billing inquiries.
• Possess strong CPT/ICD coding proficiency and understanding of regulatory guidelines; analyze medical documentation to identify and resolve coding discrepancies.
