Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of High Voltage to lead strategy, oversee HV projects, and drive profitable outcomes. This remote role requires coordinating with engineering, operations and finance teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective HV solutions across nationwide projects.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in HV/substation design or construction, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a strong customer-service orientation. Travel as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of work related experience in design and/or construction of High Voltage and substation projects.
• Strategic thinker with ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable insights.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s High Voltage strategy in alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
• Identify market opportunities for High Voltage deployment, including utility-scale projects, commercial and industrial applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and finance teams to develop cost effective High Voltage solutions and business models.
• Oversee the design, construction and commissioning of High Voltage projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and partners to secure resources and expertise for High Voltage initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of High Voltage professionals, fostering safety, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Represent the company at client meetings, conferences and regulatory proceedings related to High Voltage.
