Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan is seeking a full-time teacher to deliver high-quality virtual education to students statewide while maintaining a presence at the instructional center. You will drive instruction aligned with district vision and standards.

The role requires Michigan teacher certification, the ability to motivate students, strong relationships with families, and effective use of technology.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Secondary Education Teacher certification.
• Ability to motivate all students to be successful in their coursework.
• Ability to develop meaningful relationships with students to foster success.
• Teachers must be strong customer service leaders for students, families and community members.
• Understand and effectively utilize technology in instructional and operational settings.
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks with self-direction in a timely manner.
• Excellent English and grammar skills, proofreading skills, oral and written communications skills.
• Online teacher experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual instruction statewide and monitor quality.
• Maintain 185-day contract schedule and report to Center Director.
• Use district vision to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with centers/state via PLCs.
• Grade and monitor student work; adhere to grading policy.
• Mentor students through online and in-person communications.
• Build relationships with students and families weekly.
• Participate in professional development and center duties.
• Assist enrollment, orientations, center operations.
• Center duties: model software/tools usage, organize orientations, ensure cleanliness, engage families.
• Travel for in-person professional development when offered.
