Job summary

Stride, Inc. through West Virginia Virtual Academy (WVVA) is seeking a state-certified High School Special Education Teacher to deliver online instruction, develop IEPs, and coordinate related services for remote learners. You will work with students and families, monitor progress, document compliance, and adapt lessons to individual needs.

This is a full-time remote role requiring 40+ hours weekly and a professional home office setup. Immediate start for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active State Special Education license.
• Six months of student teaching experience.
• Ability to clear required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compliant IEPs for students and maintain progress reports.
• Collaborate with parents and related service staff to ensure appropriate therapies.
• Lead IEP meetings and document required special education paperwork.
• Provide accommodations and modifications per IEP; use assistive tech as needed.
• Collect data and monitor progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous online instruction.
• Communicate regularly with families and learning coaches; travel up to 20% for PD/meetings.
