Job summary

Nevada Connections Academy seeks a highly qualified High School English Teacher to deliver instruction remotely from within Nevada. The teacher will collaborate with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of the program and maintain detailed student records.

The role requires Nevada teaching certification, strong technology and communication skills, and a willingness to engage in occasional evening hours.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach English in Nevada.
• Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused and flexible for a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences promptly.
• Support instruction with asynchronous web conferences and synchronous teaching sessions.
• Review curriculum and adapt lessons to improve student understanding.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and communications with parents and students.
• Collaborate with other teachers to coordinate field trips and school activities.
• Assist in State Testing organization and student recruitment events.
