Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a high school English teacher for Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA) in a remote, work-from-home role. The teacher delivers synchronous and asynchronous instruction, personalizes learning, and tracks student progress using Stride K12’s LMS.

Occasional travel for state testing and professional development is required. Requires a Bachelor's degree and an active state teaching license with the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND active state teaching license AND ability to clear required background check.
• Experience with online learning platforms and remote teaching is preferred.
• Experience teaching in online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provides rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Personalizes learning for all students and differentiates instruction by mastery.
• Maintains grade book, placement decisions, and notifies administrators of progress concerns.
• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests and communicates with families regularly.
• Travel up to ~20% for face-to-face professional development and required activities.
